Biography

Tiye Uhura Link holds an Ed.D. in Organizational Leadership, an M.Div in Theology, an M.S. in Community Counseling, and an MBA. Tiye serves as Program Director of Healthy University at Nashville CARES, where they lead a program centered on education, social support, and advocacy for individuals living with HIV. 

With more than 10 years at Nashville CARES, Tiye has dedicated their career to advancing education, advocacy, and community engagement for people living with HIV/AIDS. Tiye serves on the Scientific Review Committee for the Vanderbilt Institute for Clinical and Translational Research and the End the Epidemic Advisory Workgroup, which supports the national strategy for people living with HIV/AIDS. Tiye has led numerous workshops on HIV/AIDS, provided patient education in the First Year Doctors program at Vanderbilt University School of Medicine, and served as a guest lecturer in the Medical Scientist Training Program at Vanderbilt University School of Medicine. In addition, Tiye is involved with the Tennessee Center for AIDS Research through the Faith and Spirituality Research Collaborative and the Community Engagement and Social Behavioral Science workgroups and serves on the National Community Action Board for N3C, helping align community engagement with national CFAR initiatives. Tiye also serves on the Nashville TGA Ryan White Planning Council and is certified in Mental Health First Aid. Tiye’s passion and calling is to empower and serve the HIV-positive community.
